How to make a QR code that never expires

A QR code never expires when it holds your content itself. Here's how to make one in about a minute, for free.

Step 1: choose what it should open

Pick a link, Wi-Fi network, contact card, WhatsApp chat, Google review page, location, email, phone number, SMS, calendar event, UPI or crypto payment, or plain text. Type or paste the details, and the code appears as you type.

Step 2: make it look good

Start from a template, or choose your own colours, dot style, corners and a frame with text such as SCAN FOR THE MENU. You can add your logo from almost any file, including PDF, Illustrator and EPS.

Every design is read by two QR decoders the way a phone would read it, and if something makes it hard to scan, you get a one-tap fix.

Step 3: download the right file

Choose where you'll use it: PNG for screens, a larger PNG for small print, SVG for posters and signs, or a CMYK PDF with bleed and crop marks for a print shop.

Make your QR code

Need to change the link after printing? Then you need a dynamic code. Choose a service that won't switch printed codes off if you stop paying.
